Podere Greppi Cupi, was one of the first to join the “Consorzio della Tutela dei vini di Bolgheri DOC”, and it classes amongst the best in the Castagneto Carducci district. This is for the main part due to the rigor and consistency of Mrs Rosa Gasser Bagnoli, who since 1993 promoted and implemented the utmost care in terms of cultivation techniques by exclusively using organic methods with the aim to obtain products that express perfectly the bounty of Bolgheri’s soil and climate.
Rubino dei Greppi-Bolgheri Superiore
Sangiovese 20%, Cabernet S. 40%, Merlot 40%. Traditional vinification with maceration for a period of 18-24 days. The wine is aged for 16 months in oak barrels of first and second passage and a further 12 months in the bottle.
The color is intense ruby. The smell is balsamic, with hints of wild mint and hints of black pepper. The taste is full, dense, with well-blended tannins and a long aromatic persistence of blakcurrant, undergrowth, tobacco.
Greppi Cupi-Bolgheri Rosso D.O.C.
Sangiovese 60%, Canaiolo 10%, Cabernet S. 20%, Merlot 10%. Traditional vinification with maceration for 12-15 days. The wine is aged for 8 months in oak barrels of second passage and a further 6 months in the bottle.
It has a red color with ruby reflections. The smell is reminiscent of blackberry jam, red currant, blueberries. The taste is soft, balanced, with delicate tannins and long aromatic finish of black pepper, licorice and thyme.
Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva Superiore Biologico
Obtained from olives harvested by hand and pressed within 12 hours of collection. The delicate and fragrant taste is due to the precious varieties of olives used: Leccino 50%, Moraiolo 20%, Frantoiano 20%, Pendolino 10%.
